The Role
We are seeking a high-caliber Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a vital position within our established corporate structure, designed for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-standards environment.
We are seeking a proactive self-starter who will seamlessly integrate into our firm, strictly adhering to our structure of operational excellence. This is a role for a professional ready to perform from Day 1. You must possess the ability to deliver exceptional administrative and legal support while identifying opportunities to improve workflow efficiency. The successful candidate will proactively support the legal team to ensure no deadline is missed and no client is neglected, effectively maximizing the value of every case while contributing directly to the firm’s bottom line through superior productivity and client service.
Core Responsibilities
Case Management Support: Assist attorneys and paralegals in formatting and organization of legal documents, forms, and petitions (including USCIS forms and court filings). Maintain pristine physical and digital client files, ensuring all documentation is indexed and easily retrievable.
Client Liaison: Serve as the initial point of contact for current and prospective clients. You are responsible for maintaining professional, empathetic, and clear communication via phone and email, scheduling consultations, and ensuring clients feel supported throughout the process—a key factor in client retention.
Administrative Precision: Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings and interviews, and process incoming mail with absolute accuracy. You will be responsible for data entry and maintaining the integrity of our case management software.
Operational Efficiency: Monitor deadlines and docketing systems to ensure the legal team operates at maximum efficiency. You are expected to anticipate the needs of the attorneys and move administrative tasks forward proactively.
Cross-Practice Support: While the focus is Immigration, candidates with the capacity to assist administratively in Family, Criminal, and Personal Injury matters are regarded as a strategic asset and will be expected to leverage that experience to support the firm’s broader service capabilities.

Candidate Profile
Experience: A strict minimum of 1 year of substantive experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary is required. Experience in Immigration Law is strongly preferred, though experience in Family Law, Criminal Defense, or Personal Injury is considered a distinct advantage.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
Languages: Fluency in English is required. Native or professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly preferred.
Attributes: Extremely professional, disciplined, and detail-oriented with a high standard for excellence.
Compensation & Benefits
Samper Law offers a compensation structure designed to reward high performers.
Salary: Competitive base salary, starting at $53,000, commensurate with experience. We are prepared to offer a compensation package that accurately reflects the market value of a top-tier candidate.
